Came here randomly looking to fish. We were fortunate to find Cove Resort. People are extremely nice and as first-timers, we didn't really know what we were doing.
This area is awesome and wonderful! Clean and well kept.
Well worth the trip over either via I 90& 97 or hwy 2 from Monroe.
We will be back!
We came here with friends' family in one of early Fall morning, the lake was so pretty and peaceful here; Scott shared some of his secret pier fishing tips to make our day go by with catching excitement.
FYI: it cost us about $150 for our little adventure. This included food, fishing pole, live bait, tackle, boat rentals, drinks, fishing day license. Aside from the boat rental, we brought everything else home.
Just be sure you wear lots of mosquito repellent during your stay or wear longs sleeves. Lots of sun screens when you go out fishing and take lots of water to drink.
They have a great selection of boats to rent as well as a well stocked store with fishing gear and food items.
We rented out a motor boat and the owners as well as locals here helped us dock and undock. We didn't catch any fish but had a very pleasant time.
In Joy your self.

Immediately after we arrived with our Non-fishing recreational Boat (As they called it) and floats for swimming we were told very rudely from several people that this isn’t the lake/camping resort for that.
I understand the web site talks about fishing but it does not say “Fishing only” “No Swimming” “No recreational boating” The Lake was covered in algae so swimming wasn’t an option anyways but it would have been nice to have been told this when we called. They even charged $5 a kid and $10 adult to fish off the dock even though we were camping there. If you just want to “Fish only” then this resort is good for you, if not I would not recommend going.
I highly recommend this for a loner, a couple and families. So peaceful!
Scott West has the best Customer Service ever! This is our second time in Cove Resort with my husband. My first time to fish and second time to camp.
Thank you, Mr. Scott West!
We have been coming here for 5+ years often with friends and family. It is a great weekend getaway short drive from the west side . Scott and his family are great host providing plenty of camp sites with power and water hook up and lots of spots for just pitching a tent. It is also close to Leavenworth if the fish aren't bitting.
