I was lucky and here was a last minute cancellation. The receptionist Dawn was very friendly and helpful. The City Chamber of Commerce recommended this place when I told them the weekend was sold out everywhere. After driving 5 hours from Oregon we got in after midnight and the man was so kind. He makes breakfast in the mornings and the whole place has a "cozy cottage" feel. Definitely coming back!
We had a girls weekend Aug. 11-13 and the property did not look at all like the pictures that were on the web site. no beautiful flowers, lots of dirt. The hot tub had green slim in it but we told the staff and they put some chemicals in it and it cleared up with in 30 minutes, we were told we has a full tank of propane, wrong it ran out in the middle of cooking 16 steaks so we had to go find someone to see if they had another one. The pool was dirty and the cement around it was falling apart. The beds were like sleeping on a old box spring and one of the beds in the common area upstairs was to dangerous to sleep on. The kitchen was nice though. lots of room. We made the best of it, but was not worth what we paid for it. Was very disappointed.
I had my wedding here. Our family actually stayed the whole week-end here and we were treated excellent. Rick and Haley were amazing and made our special day worry free. They often went above and beyond for those last minute requests. The food, the Sunroom, the cake, the rooms, the hospitality and outdoor area was perfect. They treated us and our family like family. We think of that week-end very often and we are so glad we expereinced this wonderful memory at Feathrwinds Lodging.
Please save yourself the hassle and stress, and don't have your wedding here.
Beautiful venue for a spring wedding, DONT DO IT HERE. I was heavily involved in executing a wedding this past weekend, and they were *not* good at communicating or being flexible, which are two things that are necessary for a wedding. Additionally, the owners made comments around guests and bridal party members that made them uncomfortable.
Featherwinds provided a beautiful venue and wonderful service for our wedding. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Everything went off without a hitch.
