Just returned from a three day mid-week stay at Mountain Springs. Overall a very good stay. The "family" was very accommodating. The Aspen Glow room was pretty much perfect. The only improvements would be to add a place to hold soap and shampoo in the shower and maybe a make up mirror for the females. Other than that it was a great mid-week place for a get-away.
For privacy go on the weekdays; for social interaction with a lot of other guests and kids choose the weekend! Don't forget to feed the fish!
The sleigh rides at Mountain Springs Lodge will exceed any of your expectations for what the ride should be like.
It's a neat, intimate place for an event, but they antiquated rules about hours and the like, which would be a major turn off to anyone planning an event. They didn't even honor the hours they agreed to for the event I went to, unfortunate for my friend. Definitely make sure you go over those parts of your contract ahead of signing so you know what to expect. Other than that, it's a nice location.
Tyler & Pete (the 2 drivers I interacted with) are charming, personable and most importantly expert horseman. They take great care of the horses and the horses seem to really enjoy their work which is refreshing. Both of them are also excellent drivers which means you can enjoy the excitement of the sleigh ride (cantering in the snow!!) without any concerns other than enjoying the GORGEOUS scenery at the lodge. The route takes you through open fields with mountain scenery, past picturesque snowy birch & evergreen trees and through an adorable loop deep in the forest too. Bridge crossings, hills and walk, trot and even canter - you get it all on this ride! The barn where you warm up with hot cider and an open fire after the ride was also super cute.
Stopped by just for horseback riding. Jason was an amazing wrangler and gave our family a great guided ride. The horses were so well trained. Their prices were very reasonable and they were super family friendly. we'll be back for zip lines and sleigh rides!
My husband and I were married here and I cannot say enough good things about Mountain Springs Lodge. Jaimi was wonderful and made sure that we had everything we needed. Most of our guests stayed on-site and those that did loved the accommodations. The honeymoon suite was perfect. The food was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and great for pictures (even in the rain!). I am so very happy that we found this place!
We participated in the 9-line zip-line excursion and had fantastic guides, Jason (JBoy) and Georgia! Highly recommend this adventure. We also rode horses with Camille and had a great time.
The rest of the staff that we interacted with at the lodge were also great.
